Who We Are
IPS Cascais British International School is located north of Cascais, close to Lisbon. Our friendly, well-established school started with five pupils and has grown over the last 40 years into a united international community of 350 children from over 40 nationalities. We offer the English National Curriculum from Foundation Stage to Year 11, followed by the International Baccalaureate for Years 12 and 13. IPS Cascais welcomed the first Year 7s to our new Secondary School in 2022. Years 8-13 will launch on a rolling basis from 2023 on a dedicated, purpose-built site.

Educational stages at IPS Cascais
Foundation Stage
Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is tailored to our youngest learners (aged 3 and 4). Caring teachers instil a love of learning and prepare pupils for the years ahead.
Primary School
Children enjoy playful, engaging lessons within our programme, which is based on the English National Curriculum and adapted to an international context.
Secondary School
In the Secondary School, we follow the National Curriculum for England and students study for the IGCSEs in Years 10 and 11 and progress to the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13.
