Year 9 hike through Sintra for unit on Navigation

Year 9 hike through Sintra for unit on Navigation
IPS Cascais The Journey Logo

Our Year 9 pupils recently hiked through the scenic hills of Sintra as part of their Outdoor learning lessons (The Journey). They are currently working on honing their navigation skills.

The experience served as the perfect warm-up for the 35 students who have signed up for this year’s Duke of Edinburgh Award. There is nothing more rewarding than a day out, seeing your students engaged and motivated.

“My group was mixed, and that was great, we bonded really well. We supported each other as we navigated between stations and I loved the fresh air, the views were amazing. I really enjoyed the freedom we were given to complete this activity.”

I look forward to more adventures like these. Thank you to everyone involved in making the day a success.
