Where did you grow up, and what was it like there?
I grew up in Wallasey, close to the city of Liverpool in England, but it is also a coastal town. It reminds me of living here, due to the closeness to Lisbon, but also Cascais being a coastal town as well. It is very beautiful in the summer, with lots of green areas, hills, and sand dunes. However, it rains most of the year.
What’s a tradition your family had while growing up that you still cherish?
Me and my dad used to go to a social club on Thursday and play different games about History, Sci- Fi, fantasy, it wasn’t very healthy at all as he would let me eat junk food, like crisps and chocolate and drink fizzy drinks!
What’s your all-time favorite book, movie, band or TV show?
What an impossible question, I would say Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, books, movies, TV shows, I live and breathe them. Maybe If I had to narrow it down, I could say Star Wars Revenge of the Sith which I watched in the cinema with my dad when I was 8.
What’s your favourite memory from your childhood?
Liverpool winning the Champions League from 3-0 down at half time to AC Milan in 2005.
How did you become interested in working in education?
I love History and want to share my passion for History with children so they can understand how amazing History is, how our past has shaped our future, but to learn from it Being a teacher means we are also fortunate enough to get long holidays, so the opportunity to travel is something I am grateful for.

Travelling and sunshine.
Who is someone in your life who has had a significant influence on who you are today?
My Grandad Dave – he pushed me out of my comfort zone so when I was younger made me talk to any random person walking past.
