Christmas Cheer & Charity Projects

Christmas Cheer & Charity Projects

The month of December at IPS is always a festive time of year!

We have decked the halls, carol performances fill the atrium with the sound of music, and there is always the Christmas lunch in the canteen to look forward to.

As we did last year, IPS took part in the Care to Share shoebox project. This is a great charity initiative that aims to support those less fortunate children who might not get much this Christmas. One of our amazing parents, Michael, went to our local shopping centre and picked up over 100 empty shoeboxes that were otherwise going in the bin. These shoeboxes have now been transformed into wonderful personalised gift boxes, full of all sorts of goodies to open on Christmas day.

On Thursday, the fire brigade came to collect our gifts and we did an amazing job. We did so well, they had to come back to do another trip because there was no more space in the van! In total, the IPS community managed to put together 162 shoebox gifts.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this project and we hope that everyone has a very, merry Christmas.
