IPS is committed to ensuring that its staff is up to date with the latest educational practices and prioritises the continued training and professional development of teachers.
Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of England and all subjects are taught in line with developments in England. A strong emphasis is placed on English, especially literacy, and Mathematics, with regard to numeracy.
The teaching methods used will vary from class to class according to the needs of the children and the strengths of the teachers.
Teachers regularly assess the different abilities and interests of the children both as individuals and as a group, so that the range and the pace of the programmes are set appropriately.
Teaching is carried out by qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teachers. Full time Teacher Assistants are also employed in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage One classes (Nursery to Year2) ensuring a low pupil-adult ratio.
