The International Preparatory School (IPS) was started in 1982 to serve the international and Portuguese communities of Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais. The school very quickly grew from its initial 10 pupils to its current enrolment of about 240 children between the ages of 3 and 11 years.

Despite its rapid growth, the school has maintained the familiar, welcoming atmosphere that characterised its early days. IPS prides itself on welcoming all nationalities into a British based school specialising in primary education.

The school’s major resource is its professional and highly motivated classroom teachers. In addition we are also proud to provide:
